L.E.D. Facials
This is a great facial for deep lines and rosacea. Created through NASA. Visibly plumps the skin, especially when combined with other facial treatments, or alone in a series. Reduces redness, large pores and broken capillaries. L.E.D. facials work best when combined with SonicDerm, Microdermabrasion, or Peels. For information on Dr. Whelan's research for NASA regarding L.E.D. at the University of Wisconsin. Also, USA Weekend has an interesting article on what L.E.D. facials can do for wrinkles.
L.E.D. is painless and relaxing. It has become a client favorite in the "Triple Treatment" & "Quad Treatment" because it is relaxing and very effective.

Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a procedure in which a machine jets fine crystals across the face for gentle exfoliation, with little to no discomfort or downtime. Unlike deep peels, one of the benefits of microdermabrasion is the ability to go straight back to work without any down time. Total time for treatment is 30-45 minutes and can be done on a lunch break. The results are instantly smoothed skin. Microdermabrasion reduces scarring, reduces fine lines and acne. The length of time between treatments are determined by your skin type.
The Ultrapeel Pepita system was designed in Italy with a closed loop system, for your safety, to assure there is no cross contamination. This is one of the best systems available. Certified since 2001 for Microdermabrasion.

Ultrasonic Microdermabrasion Facial Therapy - Facials for Sensitive Skin
The latest generation of microdermabrasion, for sensitive or acne prone skin. Little to no redness or downtime with ultrasonic care. This machine offers retexturing results with the safe and gentle use of ultrasound vibration of up to 28,000 cylces per second. First, the Ultrasonic vibrations exfoliate dead skin cells. Secondly, the soundwaves are used to push in vital nutrients, as determined by the esthetician and your skin care needs. This causes two synergistic benefits. The ultrasonic vibration acts similar to a treatment such as microdermabrasion, by gently removing dead skin cells with water. This is for clients with sensitive skin, rosacea, severe acne, broken blood vessels or dry skin types. After ultrasonic cleansing, serum is applied during the treatment and is the vibrations push it in much further than it could penetrate naturally. This treatment causes the skin to quickly receive the serum needed. This helps to stimulate the skins natural collagen fibers to help re-build the tissues. Collagen fibers are what gives the skin it's plump look seen in youthful skin. Elastin is the fibers that give your face it's elasticity. Both the therapy and the vitamin infusion help stimulate and rebuild these fibers. This a client favorite because it is not only painless but relaxing and effective.

Advanced Peels - Certification in 2001
At Cary Skin Care, I offer some of the most proven effective techniques available. I have three categories of "peeling". Keep in mind, all of these peels and enzymes work on the epidermal layer of skin only. They are used only to stimulate the dermal area of skin to get the desired effects. Unlike some medical peels, there is no bloody skin after application. These methods require very little downtime. Clients love the professional results without the medical expense and downtime. I use the following methods: 1. Enzymes, which only removes the lightest layer of dead skin cells, great for sensitive skin. (little to no visible exfoliation) 2. Light peels, which is more dead skin removal than enzymes but still with little to no visible exfoliation (Low % or high PH Glycolic acids belong to this group). 3. "Mid-depth" to "deep" epidermal peels. This category varies from a light exfoliation of the skin to a heavy 7 day exfoliation. This level will have a darkening to the skin and heavy peeling.
There are hundreds of types of protocols and different acid combinations available. After consultation, a program suited to your skin type will be chosen especially for you.
Peels are wonderful for acne, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, rosacea, fine lines and wrinkles.
In my opinion, nothing (outside of surgery) compares to peels and microdermabrasion when treating acne and anti-aging.
Peels are most effective as a series, within 1 to 4 week separation time, depending on your skin type and what peel is used. For example, a good acne or heavily sun damaged skin care program would involve peels mixed with microdermabrasion in a series for optimal results.
